As some of you know, I’ve been keeping track of my progress publicly here.
I have officially shattered all of my personal records and I have never been stronger before in my life. I’m getting legitimately big now. Current stats:
Squats 5×5 @ 280 lbs
Bench Press 5×5 @ 160 lbs
Deadlift 1×5 @ 255 lbs
OHP 5×5 @ 115 lbs
Barbell Rows 5×5 @ 120 lbs
My OHP and Barbell Rows are my most disappointing. Making slower progress there than my other lifts, but that’s okay. I’m on track to hit three plates at 5×5 by November 11th, so I hope I hit that goal. I have not missed a single gym session.
The weight on squat is getting up there and I already have a bad back to begin with so I purchased a weight belt. Also purchased wrist wraps. I’ve become that guy at the gym. But then I went this morning and this guy was power lifting 5 plates and it reminded me that I’m not special.
I’m feeling great though and I’ve never been more satisfied with my strength.
